Dorothy Jane's Story...
Dorthy Jane is a 1 and 1/2 year old, female, DSH, dilute calico Dorthy Jane is a very sweet little cat. She was pulled from the euthanasia list at county. When she first came to me, she was not so keen on being around the other cats. Now she seems to enjoy herself. She really is a spoiled little princess and will still kick another cat out of her bed if she wants to lay there. She is a little bossy with the other cats and seems to be the boss of the room. She loves to groom everyone in the room and I'll catch her playing with them. She is really great with people. She likes to play with you and she loves her treats. Sometimes she will give you love nips, but you just have to tell her to stop. She likes to sit way high up on the cat climbers so she can watch everyone. She will snuggle in your lap and loves to get affection. Strings are her favorite toys. If you are interested in Dorthy Jane call her foster mom Jen #623-210-6578 Ryan-623-606-4855 or email bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com. If you would like to meet Dorthy Jane she will be at the I17/Happy Valley Petco every Sunday from 11-5pm. Rescue a forever friend!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dorothy Jane, a Phoenix Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
