Millie's Story...
Millie's life hasn't been easy. After receiving a call from a kind soul who'd been feeding her over a fence, we found Millie cowering in fear behind a building in east Springfield. Although she was wearing a collar, it was clear she hadn't seen any love or care in quite some time, if ever. Her broken teeth and scarred, skeletal body are signs of possible abuse or worse. In spite of the tough cards she's been dealt in life, Millie tentatively wagged her tail when we approached, hoping we were there to help. Somehow she believed in us, but now she needs someone to believe in her. Please consider fostering or adopting Millie. She's a gentle sweet soul who deserves a better life with someone who loves her the way she shows love - unconditionally.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Jacksonville American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
