CALVIN's Story...
Meet Calvin! This beautiful Lab boy is just the sweetest senior you'll meet! He was found lost on 5/4/16 and will become available for adoption on 5/21/16 when his waiting period is up. He's about 10 years old and weighs 89 lbs. He looks really good for his age, but we can definitely tell the hard cement floors of the shelter are taking a toll on his old bones. He is current on his vaccines and neutered. Upon adoption he will be heartworm tested and micro chipped. Calvin's ID # is 584287 and he can be found in cage 16.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CALVIN, a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
