Hoss's Story...
Fear not, forever family, for I, Hoss, am the dog you have been searching for! I will arise and be the victor of your heart with whatever life can throw at us! As your canine defender I will hold your heart with great care and keep it safe from those who seek to tarnish our love! In me you have a dog who will be loyal, good with your children, and rise above the petty canine/feline differences of the past. I have been housetrained and crate trained already and will show you the extent of my knowledge. I am a friend to all other dogs and would love to escort you on summer days at the dog park. I walk well on a leash—I like to take my time and observe the world. I will be the dog of great proportions, the envy of your friends. They will ask “How did you come across such a wonderful family friend?” and you will tell them “By FDNL and destiny!” 2 years old-84lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hoss, a Portland Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Portland, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
