Evie's Story...
Mystery and subtlety in a pretty kitty package. Black on black stripes with sage green eyes and a white spotted pendant on my neck. I can be your lucky charm because I know I'm not bad luck. Like many interesting people, I might be aloof at first until I've properly processed the situation. Once you've passed inspection, my guard goes down and I'm a purrfull sweetheart. I excel at being a kitten and using my litter box properly. I love my brother but am skittish when introduced to strangers. A timid soul is also a loyal one. I'm a lovely black kitten and I'm not evil, I'm Evie. Evie day, I'll be your cuddle buddy if you'll let me love you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Evie, a Jacksonville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
