My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“DANCER”, is now available for adoption. This neutered, apricot, very pretty Standard Poodle came to us from Heather (see below) who sadly found that working long hours gives her less time to spend with her beloved Poodles.

Dancer is a 7 year old (08/15/08) boy who stands at 25″ tall measuring from the floor to his shoulders and is 50 pounds.

He is also VERY sweet and loving, yet he came to us painfully shy. With time, Mike and I have brought out this boy’s “bouncy”, gentle, yet loving personality and disposition. Such a good boy! Dancer also gets along with all of our Poodles…. well except the new puppy “Jasmine” (available for adoption on our web site) who really likes to tease Dancer.

Dancer was not feeling good the next morning after he arrived, so I got him to our Vet right away. We found that he tested positive for Lymes. NOT A PROBLEM as that is treatable with a full month of Doxycycline.

Both of Dancer’s ears were full of infection. The Vet flushed them out and then implanted anti-biotics into his ear canals; Oti-Pack-E Enrofloxacin. That helps heal the ear faster and daily drops are not needed. Very nice.

His teeth have been cleaned and a few rotting teeth in his mouth, which is causing him to drool a lot, have been pulled. Although he still looks thin, he is now able to eat better and has gained 10 pounds since he arrived here. Also, the growth on his left eye has been removed so his eye has stop running (irritated).

Dancer is now feeling much, much better! And you should see him run and play! Just throw a ball and watch him run with a smile on his face. This is a very nice Standard Poodle who greatly enjoys being with both Mike and I. Dancer especially enjoys going on a walk with Mike.

With the right family, Dancer will certainly bring you a lot of happiness and joy as he brought to us. Please, NO young children, cats or little puppies who like to annoy Dancer.

I also know Dancer’s breeder (quality lines) who tells me that BOTH Dancer’s parents are alive, healthy and doing fantastic. AKC papers are obtainable.

Dancer’s $400.00 adoption fee (plus $28.00 Minnesota State Sale Tax) will help cover just some of his Vet expenses. Also included in his adoption is a bag of quality dog food, dog treats, leash, collar, a new blanket, a dog bed, various toys and lots of good information to help start your adoption on the right paw forward.

Dancer has been a perfect gentleman in our home (house-trained), Vet checked healthy, teeth have been cleaned, all shots are up to date, wormed, Home Again micro chipped and registered, heart-worm tested negative and placed on a preventative.

Please visit our web site for Dancer's "Application For Adoption", more pictures and information about us.
