Chunk's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Chunk's Story...
Meet Chunk, when he came into rescue he weighed a whopping 19 lbs, so he was put with our wonderful foster Mary and project Chunk to hunk began. This guy is down 5 lbs since he started in foster a little over 5 weeks ago. At a svelte 14 lbs he is more handsome than before😘 His fur is growing in and today he went to get his teeth cleaned. Vet says he's at least 3 years old...not a puppy. Potty trained, very loving, great with other dogs, doesn't seem to even notice cats exist (makes two of us😉). This little dude needs his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chunk, a San Diego Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
