for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Baron's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Baron's Story...
Baron is a 10 month old male Husky mix. He is medium size (29 lbs) and seems to get along with other dogs and appears to be housetrained already! He is very good at climbing fences though, so we need a home where he isn't left outside unsupervised or other precautions have been taken to be sure he can't climb the fence. He is a great guy and would make a great addition to any family!

$150 Adoption Fee for all Dogs and Puppies. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, a heartworm/lymes test (for adults), microchip, and all age appropriate vaccinations. (Puppies are too young for the test but will be started on preventative.)

SHELTER HOURS: 1:00pm – 6:00pm Tuesday - Thursday; 12:00pm – 4:00pm Friday and Saturday; 1pm-4pm Sunday; Closed Monday. We welcome adoptions from people living out of the area or outside the state of Virginia. The application process is completed in person at the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baron, a Staunton Husky/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Beagle for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Husky/Beagle dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Beagle breeders who help with Husky/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
