Sonoma's Story...
Name: Sonoma
Breed: Lab/American Eskimo mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Female

Sonoma is a medium size adult female mixed breed, maybe Lab/American Eskimo, and whatever her past was, it wasn't an easy one. This sensitive soul always seems to be waiting for the other shoe to drop, and its been fun to show her kindness, patience, and love, and watch her blossom. The biggest healers for her have been the other dogs in her foster home, she really relies on them to show her what to do, and has started playing with them. Sonoma has a soft spot for her foster dad and likes to hang out near  him. She needs a home willing to invest some time and quiet kindness in her- when she arrived, she was frozen in fear, and is so enjoyable to see opening up and trusting and having fun. Sonoma does require a fenced yard and another dog in her new home. We know she will show poorly when someone wants to meet her, since she is shy, and its going to take a special soul to take a chance and bring her home, let her open up in her own time.

Requirements: Have another dog, fenced yard

You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonoma, a Minneapolis Labrador Retriever/American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Eskimo Dog for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
