Abbey's Story...
This is cute little Abbey she came in with her mom Missy. They made a long trip from Puerto Rico to find a home in America! They came in with some missing hair so her picture doesn’t show her true beauty! She went to the vet and got a special shampoo and now her fur has totally grown back and is beautiful, thick and very shinny! She is a very playful outgoing puppy who loves to be around people! She loves to run around in the yard and she enjoys being outside! She is a very entertaining girl who will always put a smile on your face!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abbey, a Elmwood Park Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
