Ruby's Story...
UPDATED 05/23/2016

RUBY says, "Good Morning World!

Two months ago it was questionable whether I'd live or not. But thanks to a lot of caring people and a wonderful rescue, Paw Paws Pet Rescue, I made it! Foster mommy says I'm a very good girl. I love being around my 12 foster doggie siblings; they've taught me a lot! I bark at the 5 foster kitty siblings and all but 1 run away from me. Guess they don't want to play with me but that's ok, the doggies do.

Foster mommy says I'm really smart...I haven't had one accident in the house at all. I'm not destructive, I've learned sit and listen very well. I like being here but I'm ready for my forever home!"♡

RUBY is about 2 1/2 years old, UTD, spayed, HW negative and on monthly preventative. She's had a hard life but is the sweetest little girl who just wants to please. She's medium-sized about 42 pounds. She's available for adoption to a loving home through Paw Paws Pet Rescue in Florida but is currently in South Carolina in foster care. Please share her so her forever family can find her! ♡

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a North East Carolina Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Carolina Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in North East, or seeking a Carolina Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in North East.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North East already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North East breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Carolina Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Carolina Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North East paves the way for another one to be saved.
