Polly adores people. She wants nothing more than to be as close to you as she possibly can. If that means a nearly 60 lb. German Shepherd in your lap, well that is fine with Polly. Our team members saved this beautiful girl from a local shelter where she was at-risk of euthanasia. On the way home, Polly casually tried to sit up front with her rescuers, she was just so grateful to be safe and thought they might enjoy a lap dog. At just over a year of age she is still young and in need of training. The nice thing is she has a good basis to start from and is naturally a pretty well-behaved girl. Polly gets along with other dogs and would fit into most homes so long as they are fairly active and willing to give her the exercise she needs to succeed. ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia. The Pet Rescue Center is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
