Jojo's Story...
Hi! My name is Jojo and my sisters, 'The Little Women", and I came to RCHS as little kittens and have been growing big and strong with the help of our Mom, Hazel, and our foster family. Our foster family includes some other kitties, a small dog, and a little human. I should be fine in a home with dogs, cats, and kids so long as you continue to socialize me and introduce me slowly. Out of my siblings, I am the ring leader. I love to lead my sisters on adventures in between playing with my human friends. I can be friendly and laid back or a playful little tom boy depending on the occasion. I love to play with my toy mice and empty toilet paper rolls especially.

All kitties go to their new owners spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and are negative for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee is $100. If you are interested in adoption or have any questions, please contact info@rchsks.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jojo, a Manhattan Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
