Additional info: Roscoe came to us insecure and shy but has made amazing progress. He has learned SIT, COME and STAY. He gets along well with the other dog in the house although there is a difference in energy levels. The other dog is high energy so Roscoe will set his boundaries firmly but not aggressively. He likes his toys although he does resource guard them a little. He is housetrained and loves his crate and adores his walks. He is well mannered and walks so nicely on the leash. He is playful and affectionate and curious; he loves to explore the yard. Roscoe does need his alone time and may sometimes disappear in little hiding spots. He is just fine if not crowded and if allowed to go off on his own and find the occasional safe spot. He is afraid of loud noises and may bark at them and at people he sees on his walks but he is not generally a barker - only when he's scared or uncomfortable. He is generally cuddly, loving and friendly with people he is comfortable with and when he feels secure. He is good with strangers if he is approached the right way and given time to warm up. At the moment, we do not recommend Roscoe for a home with young children.
