Hoagie's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Hoagie's Story...
This gorgeous boy was found literally in the middle of nowhere. More than likely he wasn't the "perfect" hunting dog and his owners just decided that this was the way to get rid of him. Sadly, this happens all the time down here and no matter how often we see it, it just never ceases to amaze us how cruel people can be. He was pretty emaciated when we got him but as you can see he is perfect now! Hoagie is very young, about 18 months the vet has guessed. He is healthy, strong and ready for his forever home. Hoagie will give you a full on smile when you call him but of course he wouldn't do it for the camera on this day! He is neutered, heart worm negative, microchipped and up to date on all of his shots. He's pretty high energy so a nice big yard or a farm would be a perfect setting for him. Won't you please give this boy a forever loving home? ADOPTION FEE $450

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hoagie, a Salem Bluetick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound for sale in Salem, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
