My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! They call me Leroy. I am a Maltese mix who is approximately 12 years old. I was brought to the shelter after being hit by a car. It's amazing that all 8lbs of me survived but I am so glad I did because I am living the good life these days! When I arrived I was practically hairless, but my foster mom gave me medicated baths and cleared up all my skin infections and now my hair is growing back! I have a slight murmur but the cardiologist that saw me said that I do not need any medication for it. I received a dental and a neuter. Despite being deaf and some occasional coughing, I am an easy, healthy little guy. My favorite things to do is lay in the sun or near a fireplace. I love to burrow under blankets. I get along great with dogs. I hardly ever bark and if I do it is to tell you I'm hungry or that I'd like to come inside. I sleep through the night - heck I'll sleep till 11AM if you let me! I'm still working on my potty training skills but I'm getting better every day! Give me a chance, I know you won't regret it.
