Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB March 22, 2009.
Mickey, who was given up by his family after the arrival of a new baby, was understandably hurt and upset at the upheaval. After he had some time to settle into his foster home, he revealed himself to be a very entertaining and interesting cat.
Mickey can be very cuddly and full of purrs early in the morning (food might be his motivation!), but generally he prefers to sit close to rather than on his people. Affection needs to be on his terms and he prefers being a pleasant companion and sidekick rather than a lap cat. He does not like being picked up, does not want prolonged patting and prefers a very light touch when he asks for petting. If you do not respect these boundaries, he may respond with a scratch or nip - but he has improved greatly on this front and we are continuing to work with him. While he might seem a bit aloof, he is rarely out of sight and always greets his foster parents when they come home. He loves kneading soft, fluffy blankets.
Mickey is looking for an experienced adopter to adopt him - someone without other pets or kids. He would be a great addition for a person or people who can enjoy his intelligence and his ability to amuse his people.
