Eliza's Story...
ELIZA a 2 year old female Havanese was rescued from the shelter. She is being fostered now by Maltese Rescue California and right away joins in the fun activities of her foster family. She did great at the river! loved the other dogs at the beach, ran into the water but too cold and backed out quickly. She's coming out of her shell. She let others at the river hold her. She's knowing her name. came when called. We are teaching her to sit and shake. BUT BEST OF ALL, HAS NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT IN THE HOUSE! SHE USES THE DOGGIE DOOR at both houses. Eliza is the perfect addition to your family. Interested in adopting Eliza goto www.malteserescuecalifornia.org and submit an adoption application. Give Eliza a new furever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eliza, a Covina Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese for sale in Covina, or seeking a Havanese dog from a breeder in Covina.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covina already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covina breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese breeders who help with Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covina paves the way for another one to be saved.
