My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A finder contacted us with what he thought to be a German Shepherd or a German Shepherd dog mix that was a victim of the Houston floods. They pulled her from the shelter and she was in bad shape, skinny and shaking in the corner of the kennel. The finder took her in and fostered her til we could get this sweet girl in rescue. She might become a medium to large dog when full grown.

Name: Brie
Age: 4 -5 months as of May 25, 2016
Gender: Female
Mix/Purebred: Mix
Housetrained: working on it
Crate trained: Yes
Heartworm Negative/Positive: Assessing
Spayed/Neutered: Spayed
Micro chipped: Will be at time of adoption
Good with other dogs: Yes, but may be dominant
Good with cats: lived with cats and did fine
Good with children: Seems okay, but little experience with kids, seems gentle and sweet

Brie is great with large dogs and also lived with cats. She loves to play but also needs structured exercise everyday. Most dogs do. She is healthy and putting on weight fast. Her confidence has greatly improved and she will need a strong leader who enjoys training. German Shepherds need to know their owners are in charge so that they don't have to be. With that type of love and attention she will be a wonderful addition to any family. We will update as we get to know her better but apply if you think she might be a good fit for your family.
