Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lilly Mae has spent most of her life producing puppies. At 10 years old, her days of being a puppy factory are finally over. Somewhere along the way she lost an eye - but no one bothered to even have her lids sutured together. She has many things to learn about ( playing, taking treats and enjoying them, learning that it is OK to be in a crate, etc.) but is willing to try. Quiet and shy, but wants to be with foster mom and the other little dogs. She will be very happy to be an only dog or to live with other small dogs. Lilly Mae gets more confidence in her larger world by the day. Still shy about coming to people but “wiggles” all over in anticipation of being petted. Likes to follow you around and be in the same room but is not “needy” where she can’t be left alone. She is VERY sweet, gentle and very happy not to be having litter after litter of puppies. Loves to go in the car but does not like to ride in her crate. Does well with a restraint harness in the car. She has had her ears cleaned, dental, groomed, nails trimmed, spayed and microchipped. Lilly Mae is just happy to be free to live a wonderful life from now on and will give love and affection to her new family.
Lilly Mae is being fostered in Chapel Hill, NC and her asking adoption fee is $125.
E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS.
NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
