Buckley aint nothing but a hound dog. His mom is a lab, and his dad is a hound dog. Buckleys mom was abandoned at a boarding facility, and he didnt receive much socialization as a newborn. Buckley is a wonderful companion                         WANTED: My own folks who have patience
Favorite things to do: Lie around and nap, quiet walks, ( I am good on leash)
Things to expect: I am shy, weird things freak me out, but if you give me time I will love you and be committed to you!
Not sure what freaked me out so bad as a young guy but something scared the bejeebers out of me so I need patience. Plus, if you have potato chips or cheerios you might win me over sooner. I am about 40 pounds, housebroke, crate trained ( although I do not bother anything) and do an amazing ELVIS impression if you talk in a high squeaky voice to me and give me loving. I love Mr. Ray and it took a while for me to settle in with him. I have amazing potential if you give me a chance and really am a great boy! I get along with all the dogs but sometimes to help my confidence I act a little tougher than I really am! My name is Buckley, a snappy boy and love to snuggle in your lap ( do not forget the chips) I will snuggle with you sooner. Change is tough for me and it will take me a few days to be comfortable but it can happen, I know I can do it and really would love my own home !!! Would you give me a chance!!  I would do great as your dogs new best friend and then when I know you I will love you too!

GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - all of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and are current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 FOR LOCAL DOGS AND PUPPIES!  Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

About God's Dogs Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of loving and dedicated individuals who work together to save as many deserving animals as we can. We work tirelessly to assure the animals are well fed, socialized, are healthy and then find them the wonderful home they only dreamed of in the shelter or starving on the streets.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Please donate on the "Contact Us/Donate" page! Thank you!!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have local adoption events weekly at the Pets Barn on 1604 and Blanco in San Antonio.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption application required. Adoption fee of $150 for local adoptions and $350-450 for out of state adoptions (includes transport fees).
We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in Bexar county usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.
