Kozet's Story...
Meet Kozet! This beautiful girl joined the CRCS family all the way from Iran. She waited a very long time to come into our program and now that she's here, she's come leaps and bounds in just a short time. Kozet was hit by a car on 3 separate occasions while in Iran. The series of impacts left multiple fractures in her back legs that healed incorrectly, creating chronic pain and mobility challenges. Since arriving at CRCS, she's undergone surgery in order to have one of her badly damaged legs amputated. After just two weeks without the leg, she was cruising around farther and faster than before the surgery. Kozet has an absolutely endearing and unique personality. She has a sweet and playful side with people, but it is without toys or ropes or games of chase. It is unique to her and she reveals it once she's bonded to you. Kozet is a calm, loving and gentle soul. All people and animals in her future home will need to carry that same calm, loving and gentle energy. Kozet will continue to gain strength in her back leg through exercise and physical therapy, all part of her adoption. Inquire for details. She's ready to go home. Age 3 years.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kozet, a Washoe Valley Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Washoe Valley, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Washoe Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washoe Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washoe Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washoe Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
