Ducky-Adopted!'s Story...
Ducky was discovered wandering the streets alone in Detroit by HFE volunteers. She had horrible red mange, and terrible, smelly infections. She only weighed 8 pounds and needed lots of care and medical attention. Today Ducky is 31 pounds, healthy, full of love, spunk and looking for her FurEver home. Ducky currently lives with two furry sisters who she loves to play and snuggle with. Ducky is a friendly girl who gets along with everyone she meets including adults, children, dogs and cats. She loves to cuddle and is very affectionate. Ducky has lots of puppy energy and loves to fetch tennis balls and then will crash out for long naps. She is crate trained and almost completely housetrained and is learning some basic commands. Approx DOB 1/19/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ducky-Adopted!, a Detroit Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
