Romo--adopted!!'s Story...
Hello handsome. This is Romo, 1 and a half years old and a sweet big puppy! His original owners could not keep him due to changes in their living situation. They loved him dearly but sometimes things come to a sad conclusion. Another rescue also assisted in helping his situation and eventually him arriving here. Our boy is about 88 pounds, all joy and sweetness. He is crate trained and will go in there willingly; he must be created when left unattended. His original owners were home a fair amount of time due to their schedules being staggered so he really was not alone for more than 2 - 3 hours at a time. When you come home he is very excited to see you and will jump up to greet you. So yes, we are working on that as he is a big guy! While his recall needs work, he does know Sit, Down, Let Go, Go and Heel. He will need ongoing training to direct his energy. He does well on a pinch collar. His hobbies include loving having his chest, head and ears rubbed, lying on an outdoor lounge chair sunning himself for hours at a time and playing Frisbee. He went to Doggie Daycare a few times each week and played with all the bigger dogs. As far as his bed or bedding goes, he will do fine with simple towels etc, but will make fast work of anything stuffed and has been known to not just tear it up but swallow it. Also will eat gravel and mulch chips, so just need to watch your landscaping in his yard. Romo also has epilepsy, but his seizures are under control with a simple twice daily pill. Let our Romeo, Romo be the next love of your life!
