My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**FOSTER HOME LOCATED IN ONTARIO, OREGON**

Poppy is about two or three years old at a guess and appears to be a Miniature Longhaired Dachshund mix. Her coat is black with a bit of white on the chest, feathers on her ears, legs and tail and very soft. She is very friendly and playful, loving toys and especially someone to interact with her. Men or women, it doesn't matter to her, she just wants some love. From her behavior I believe she has been a house dog and seems to be house trained; she goes outside to potty. She is very attached to her puppy who we call Bounce but he is growing up and will develop more fully away from Mama. She has met two dogs, both female and polite, and got along well with them though she was a bit defensive at first she soon relaxed. She will need a secure fence for a small dog as she will easily go through or under any holes or gaps. She walks on a leash fairly well and we will work on that skill and the command "sit". Poppy likes treats, very small bits as she is very small, and takes them politely. While she likes to chase a ball she does not like to give it up, but with patience should learn to retrieve nicely.

If you are interested in possibly adopting Poppy, please complete an adoption application here:

You will then be contacted by Poppy's foster mom.

Poppy's adoption fee is $200 and includes spay, vaccinations, collar and ID tag.
