Facts about Rosie

  • Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Rosie is a 7-8 yr old mostly BLIND pit bull. She was found living in the foundation of a burned out building last winter & brought to a shelter by a good samaritan. Her blindness does NOT slow her down. She's a healthy, energetic, active, adventurous girl and really enjoys leashed walks in new places. She enjoys going for rides in the car or hanging out chewing on a bone. She easily navigates areas that she knows well: The house, the back yard, all areas around the house and her usual walking route. Rose LOVES people! Young, old, big, small, she loves 'em all. Due to the fact that she's blind, young kids are not recommended. When Rose was found, she had been terribly injured by other dogs. She does not like other dogs and will attack them. She also doesn't like cats. Rosie is a very sweet girl. She weighs about 50 lbs. Check out her facebook page: Sienna's Second Chance for additional pictures, videos and info.

About Underdogs Rescue & Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

We believe that there’s a great home for every dog. We’re committed to bringing dogs and guardians together who are right for each other. We do it by knowing the dog, and knowing the prospective guardian.

We look at lifestyle, energy level, experience, tolerances. It’s communicating about expectations and commitment, not just for the next few weeks when the dog comes into their life, but for life.

We stay in touch. After the initial home visit, we’re available to offer help, support and advise. We welcome knowing how everyone is settling in. Pictures are great, an occasional email. Our job is to support the owner and dog throughout the process.

Our Adoption Process...
