Spunky's Story...
Spunky is tiny, but that doesn't ever enter his mind. He is right where the action is and playing with the bigger kittens, sometimes whooping them at play. He will soon grow big and catch up in size, but always be a spunky little cat.

C.A.T. Rescue does our best to get these babies off to a good start. As much time as needed is spent helping them gain good health. Many had stray moms struggling to survive. We do our best to treat and rid kittens of intestinal parasites, coccidia, giardia, upper respiratory, as well as ear mites, fleas. If the mother was available, she is tested for Felv/Fiv. Most kittens are not tested until they are big enough to be spayed and neutered. Kittens under 3 pounds are adoptable, but are not fixed. It will be the responsibility of the adopter to provide the necessary vet health checks, vaccinations, and spay as the kitten grows. The adoption fee for unspayed kittens is $50.

C.A.T. Rescue is not a shelter, we are foster based. We showcase our adoptable pets at adoption events most weekends at many locations such as PetSmart Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels. Tractor Supply Bulverde, Earth Angels San Marcos, etc. Visit and like our Facebook page for event schedules or contact us at CatAlliesofTexas@gmail.com.

Cat Allies of Texas Rescues' mission is focused on cats of Comal county. Our vision is to keep cats out of shelters, place adoptable cats and kittens in a home, reduce stray and feral populations through TNR. Help colony caregivers manage and care for their cats. C.A.T. Rescue will offer, when possible, humane assistance to all animals in need.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spunky, a Fischer Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fischer, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Fischer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fischer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fischer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fischer paves the way for another one to be saved.
