My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake is only available to adopters close to SW PA or living in SW PA. Jake is a wonderful loving boy somewhere between 6 and 8. He plays like a 6yo but the prior information is sketchy from the shelter. He is such a good boy that I am having trouble not being a foster-failure! Can you see his amazing eyes? He looks at you with those eyes and your heart melts. In 10 days in foster not a single bad behavior or habit. Housebroken, kind, gentle, loves other dogs, loves people, loves kids and looks at you bashfully if he barks at a strange sound. He never once tried to get up on furniture, walked in a crate the 1st time I asked and politely sits by my side. He loves to roll in the grass and pretend he is hunting as he circles the perimeter of the yard. He plays gently with my two goldens and never never demands any attention; but he is so very grateful when you give it to him. He is neutered, micro chipped and UTD on all vaccinations, HW negative, Lyme negative and dewormed. He has rudimentary knowledge of sit and lay down but it needs to be reinforced. The adopter needs to buy him an easy-walk harness and a martingale collar to control him on leash. He is not a runner although a fenced yard is a must along with a minimum of 6 consecutive obedience classes. All of our goldens require someone to be home multiple times during the day or dog walkers or doggy day care. He is a very social boy that loves to be with his people.  We ask that your adoption donation to our 501c3 charity covers the medical costs we incurred during his stay with us and a minimum donation of $300. He is only available to those that live close to or in SW PA.  If you are interested in adopting a golden from us contact acwein123@gmail.com for an application or go to our website to download an application. We cannot guarantee Jake will still be available but we receive goldens almost weekly.
