Toby and our other orphans are only available to those who live in or near South Western PA. Toby the Wonder Dog! Toby is probably the most famous Golden we have had at our rescue, With a Golden Spirit. He has more fans on Facebook then I do and I help run the entire rescue. Fans have watched him since his Ohio freedom ride, seen the surgical team work on his ear, watched the vets continually clean and medicate the ears, saw him learn to swim when he was on vacation, looked at his happy dance video and cheered as he was pronounced adoptable (after $650 in vet investments!) and clear of all infection. Thousands follow Toby. NEW ADOPTION RULE! If you adopt him you must learn or be a Facebook user so his fan base can continue to watch him! Ha! Toby is a sweet gentleman of 10 who is so easy to have in the home. He doesn't demand, he waits. He hardly is affected by anything. He loves to be scratched, belly rubbed, roll in the grass and adores playing with other dogs. He is child friendly but should not live with children who are not animal aware because he does not like anyone touching him near his food or toys. He snuggles, lies at your feet, trots next to you on or off leash, never causes a fuss and is always ready to show his gratitude. He is so quite that we hardly notice when he is here; yet he comes when called, sits on command and will stay until you say 'take a break.' He won't be jogging next to you but he will go on walks and enjoy the neighbors, the kids, the trails and the outdoors. He is fully vaccinated, vetted, micro-chipped, neutered and HW negative. He is overweight but on a serious diet and lost 8 pounds in the first 12 days. For a 10 year old who is overweight he shows almost no signs of arthritis or hip issues. His ears will need cleaning every two weeks with a vet approved solution since he is prone to infection. As with all of our orphans that don't have papers we cannot guarantee he is pure bred but looks like he is a Golden.
