ADOPT ME! SISSY has had a rough road lately! She is another lovely dog that has had to adjust her life because there was no "backup plan" to place her in another home when her "human senior citizen" was placed in a nursing home! SISSY was living with a man that had progressive dementia. His family was late in getting him help and he had been in a few car accidents (Sissy was also in some of these accidents). They both were very lucky neither were hurt! However, this last accident led the family to fly down and take Sissy's owner home with them. They did not have enough money to also take SISSY! This was bad news for Sissy because there was no animal shelter in this county. What happens next???

This is where the network of rescue comes in! A rescue group called For The Love of Paws stepped in..... But, as so many rescues are full to the brim, they did not have an available foster family to take Sissy on such short notice. This group reached out to the shelter we partner with, Campbell Co., and they, in turn, reached out to us. How do you say no when Adopt Me! Bluegrass Pet Rescue is one of the few rescues that will take seniors in this condition. So, add another lovely "older gal" to the bunch!

MEET SISSY! She is a lovely dog and will be a lap dog extraordinaire! She has some weight to lose and she'll need a dental before she goes to her new family!
