Adagio's Story...
Male - Born May 23, 2015

My name is Adagio, but I'm so handsome and cuddly that everyone calls me Bellagio! I just turned one, and spent most of my life living outside alone until a woman took me under her wing and entrusted me to the Refuge. She noticed that I was limping and wanted me to get medical help. I saw a man in a white coat who vaccinated me, sterilized me, and vaccinated me again! He checked my teeth, which he said were in great condition, and pronounced me to be in excellent shape. He's not wrong: you should see me play with my new friend. He already has a forever family and his owners promised me that they'd find me one, too. A family that is willing to accept me as I am. Like many self-respecting athletes, I tore the ligaments in my knee. Obviously, the winter wasn't easy for me, and my basketball career is over. However, if you don't get hung up on this little detail, you'll see me as my foster family does: a very sociable little cat who just wants to be loved and purrs to get pet

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Adagio, a Verdun Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Verdun, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Verdun.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Verdun already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Verdun breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Verdun paves the way for another one to be saved.
