My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wentworth is a sweet, low-key, confident 4 year old purebred Olde English Bulldogge who came to ACL as a stray. He's a healthy, beefy, handsome boy, so we thought for sure Wentworth would find his way home. Unfortunately, no owner stepped forward for this big lug, and now we're in search of his perfect fit. Wentworth is a friendly guy, though he can be a little aloof and independent when he first meets you. He's curious and respectful with kitties, suggesting he probably lived with one before. He's good with certain other dogs, but he's a dominant guy, so he needs a dog that fits in with that personality. He'd be more than happy being the only dog in the home! Wentworth would be fine with respectful children 5 and up. He's completely housetrained, great on his leash, and quiet. The biggest issue for an Olde English Bulldogge is his anatomy - his breeding has made him very susceptible to overheating, as well as other respiratory difficulties, so his adopters will need to understand the special medical care and handling this breed needs to live long, happy lives. We are requiring Wentworth's adopters have previous experience with Olde English Bulldogges or English Bulldogs to adopt. Please email Gabrielle at caninemanager@animalcareleague.org to meet this gorgeous boy!
