My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello WORLD! My name is Frannie and I am 7 pounds of pure spunk and tenacity! When I arrived to Rescue I had been lost in the country for 2 weeks after jumping out of a moving vehicle. Aside from being almost starved to death, I had a list of 'issues' as long as my tail! The humans were worried that I would not pull through, but I showed them just how sassy and determined this little girl is! Here I am all patched up and just about ready for adoption. I have had my last surgery, which was for a slippery knee cap, and my rehab will be completed around June 30th, but I am ready to start meeting potential families!

I have spent a lot of time on 'crate rest' as my injuries have healed, so I have mastered crate training 101. Along with that, has come a pretty dependable potty pad routine as well. I LOVE other iggies and humans are just great too. At 6 years old, toys and chewies are still very much on my list of favorites, and I don't mind sharing the house with a cat.

I do have a couple of special considerations to pass along to my new home. Although I have recovered from my injuries, I have a free-floating pelvis on the right side. I walk and run around the house just fine-this is because I am so small, so it is VERY important that I do not become over-weight. I will also need plenty of good traction flooring surfaces in my home to prevent any slips as I am a turbo girl when it comes to getting around-I just don't understand why I should walk when I can run and get there much faster! My people will need to be okay with lots of love and kisses from me, as will my furry companions---I like to be RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of anything that is happening, including center of the pile at nap time. I should also mention that I enjoy expressing my opinion and joining in on any and all canine conversations, so apartment life would not be a best match for me.
