My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miley! She's a 5 year old friendly Shepherd/Hound mix. Miley was adopted in 2013 and recently returned. She was dearly loved but her owner was experiencing health problems and had to surrender her back to the shelter. Miley is excellent with her house training and has manners in the home. She knows her basic commands but being part hound, sometimes she can be a little stubborn. Miley gets along great with dogs she can bully and ignores ones she can't. This sweet girl enjoys chasing squirrels and other tiny critters so cats in the home may not be a good idea. She's fine with kids and has been around kids ages 6 and up. Miley does not like fireworks or thunderstorms. She would love to get back into a loving home ASAP, so stop by and take a look at Miley. She was and will be a wonderful family pet.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
