My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Jenna and my game is finding a fur-ever home. Speaking of games, anything with a ball works for me; playing ball with you, playing by myself with a ball, squeaking the ball, throwing the ball so treats fall out and, of course, fetch. If you can think of another ball game, my ears are open!!

Now, let me introduce my physical self: I am a Tri-Colored Collie crossed with Rottweiler (I just say crossed with Awesomeness). Take a look at my spotted paws; neat eh? It’s called Ticking, but I don’t have Ticks. I have all my vaccinations, microchipping, spayed, and yes, I have my flea and tick protection. I am somewhere between 2 and 3 years old, and about 45 lbs. Many of my admirers have commented, that I am just the “right size”. I also have brown eyes that will make you melt, with a very distinguished white stripe down the middle of my face. I am a very quiet dog, unless I’m giving my Wobble Wag Giggle Ball a “good talking to".

Skills? Yes, I’ve got those: house trained, kennel trained, harness trained, and I can sit, and “drop it” on command. Impressive eh? I love, love belly rubs, and if you’d let me, I’d snuggle with you in bed and on the couch. If you forget that I like that, don’t worry I will ask over and over.

My foster family takes me to visit my Black Lab Fur-Cousin (see pic), and boy, do I ever have fun; running, wrestling, swimming, and chasing the ball together (PS I always win! I am really fast, and very high energy, my foster mom walks me 3-4 miles every day). I am an only Fur-Baby with my foster family and that is ok for now, but I really would like to have a fur sibling in my new home, so I can play every day, like I do with my Fur Cousin. Cats are ok, but they don’t seem to want to wrestle at all. I have been introduced to very young children, and that went really well. I was very calm, and even walked slowly so they could carry the leash (of course, my foster Mom was close behind, and she calls me “Velcro”, ha ha) I also like older children too, they have lots of energy to throw, and throw the ball for me, and don’t seem to mind when I lick their ears.

I hope you have lots of time for me, as I’d love to be your 24/7 “Shadow” buddy and biggest, adoring fan. It would also be great if we could spend extra time together taking obedience classes. There would only be two words when we graduate…”Nailed it”. I would also rock at agility classes, or even, Fly BALL. Yup, anything with a ball.
