My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in meeting Mayte, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.fluffbuddies.org/infoquestions.html

Mayte (pronounced "my tay"), born approximately 5/18/13, means loveable and this certainly fits this little girl. Mayte came with a litter of kittens and was found trying to take care of her babies after being dumped outside. She has taken care of her babies in the best possible way and turned out to be one of the most kindest souls to be found in a kitty. She really loves her wet food and her dry food.

She has not taken well to the dog in the family and has charged him and remains hesitant when around another female kitty. What remains unclear is whether she is in protect mode with her kittens or is she simply does not get along with dogs or other kitties. She is tolerant of another adult female in the house. It would probably be best for Mayte to be the only pet in the house or at least in a house large enough to make engagement or solitude a choice.

Mayte has been an absolute angel of a guest, uses the litterbox without exception, and LOVES to be brushed and to be given attention. Her foster family has grown to love this girl and can't wait to have her find her forever home with her own family to give her the love she deserves.

Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm.
