Fiona's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Fiona's Story...
Fiona is a 1.5 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. She weighs approximately 36 lbs, and is a nice, medium size. Fiona was transferred from another shelter, where she came in as a stray. We don't believe that she has ever experienced life inside a home. She is still working on her housetraining and crate training, and will need a patient adopter that will continue to help her with this. She has overcome a lot of her initial fears in the house, however. Being left alone is very scary for her, even with dog friends around. She would love if her new family was home with her often.
Fiona is fostered with other dogs, and gets along well with proper introductions. She is fearful of new people, therefore would do best with an experienced handler, to set her up for success. Once comfortable, Fiona is a good cuddler and is learning her leash skills.
We are seeking a home with a fenced yard for Fiona.
Her adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations, current de-wormings, a leash, collar, and some food. Adoption forms can be found at www.cleoskarmacaninerescue.com and must be submitted prior to meeting the dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Duchess Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Duchess, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Duchess.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Duchess already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Duchess breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Duchess paves the way for another one to be saved.
