I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.
Sunny was scheduled for euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter when we rescued him. He is a very sweet boy that is nervous when you first meet him, but purrs when he is comfortable and likes to be held. He is about 8 months old now and looking for a loving forever home.
All of our fosters are animal lovers that want to save as many lives as possible, but our ultimate goal is to make sure that the ones we save have a wonderful life. It's very important to us to make sure everyone is happy.
Tank's Legacy was started in honor of a rescue dog named Tank. His story is on our website.

Come Meet Our Pets...
Our first adoption event is Oct 24th, 2015 at the Cultural Center in Port Charlotte.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fee varies based on the age of the dog. Puppies to 1 year are $300. 1+ to 7 years old is $275. 7+ is $250. These fees help cover the extensive vetting these dogs usually require and help us save special cases like Scooter. Please visit our website or email for more information. You must complete an adoption application. Once your application is reviewed and references checked, including vet, you will be called to set up a home visit. If you are approved, then a meet and greet will be scheduled. If that goes well, then you can have your new furry baby! We will do a two week follow up visit as well to see how you are all adjusting.
None of our fosters will be kept outside, especially on a chain. These are family members. If you cannot keep them inside with you, then please look elsewhere.
Thank You! Your message has been sent to Tank's Legacy.
You'll receive a copy, too, at
to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
