Bruno's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Bruno's Story...
Bruno was found as a emaciated, extremely anemic, heartworm positive sweet boy. He received an immediate blood transfer and is undergoing heartworm treatment. He's finally coming out of his shell and starting to play and cuddle. :) Bruno has had a very rough life prior to ALDR and needs a special home for his special needs. He is currently on a oral medication twice a day and will more than likely need to stay on it for life. He takes some time to settle in and trust and due to prior trauma should never be yelled at or hands raised as he would regress in fear of prior abuse. :( If you have the heart, patience and time to work with him, please contact us for more info. He's definitely worth it.

All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that go in as a tax deductible donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to helps other animals in need.

For more information, please fill out an application online or email us for one as well!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruno, a Riverview Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Riverview, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Riverview.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Riverview already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Riverview breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Riverview paves the way for another one to be saved.
