Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This dog is being fostered in Dallas, Texas and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or Oklahoma area.
NAME: Raina
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: About 6-7 months
WEIGHT: About 3 pounds (should gain 1-2 more pounds as she grows)
DOGS/CATS: Good with other small dogs, Unsure on cats
CHILDREN: All adult home or home with older children (16 and older)
Raina was part of group of four puppies that were dumped in a neighborhood alley (don't get us started on that topic!). The puppies were being stalked by a Bobcat and were afraid for their lives. They hung together trying to protect one another. Unfortunately one of the puppies was killed and another (Ronnie) was injured. But luckily CRT was able to rescue them, get them to safety and they are now all up for adoption. Raina is the little girl of the litter!
Raina is a fun loving puppy. She loves to play with her toys. She especially loves the squeaky toys. The more they squeak, the more excited she gets! Raina thinks that keeping the toys in the toy basket is a waste of time. She loves to take every single toy out and scatter them all over the house so they are close enough to play with at any time! She also enjoys chasing them and loves it when her foster parents play a game of fetch with her!
One of the funniest things about Raina is that she loves her human's socks. She loves to find the socks, steal them and take them somewhere to hide them! Her foster Mom and Dad adore her playful ways and the joy she brings in to their home.
Raina gets along fine with the other small dogs in her foster home. She is constantly begging the other dogs to play with her. We think she would LOVE to have a sibling dog to play with in her forever home.
Raina loves her people. When she sees her humans, she wags her tail as hard as she can. She loves being held and cuddling with you. Her foster Mom and Dad said she can be comfortable laying on any part of your body (lap, shoulder, etc) and snuggling with you. She also loves to snuggle under covers with you.
Raina is really smart. She already knows her name and comes running when you call her. She is crate trained. She is also working on her potty training and doing really well for a young puppy. We think she will have it down in no time. Raina is currently only about 3 pounds. We believe she will add 1 - 2 pounds when fully grown. Because we expect her to be under 5 pounds when fully grown, we would recommend an all adult home or a home with older mature children for her to grow up in.
If you are looking for an energetic, fun loving, cuddling dog, Raina could be a perfect match for your family.
Raina is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
