Have you been searching Salt Lake City, Utah for the ultimate furry friend to add love, joy, laughter and companionship to your life? My name is Sophie, and I am the answer to your dreams! I am a very pretty black and white Tuxedo girl, just 7 years young. I have been spayed, am up to date on my shots, very healthy and litter trained. I am a very good girl – always use my litter box and I leave your furniture alone.

My owner, Holly, and I have been best friends for many years. As things tend to happen, she met the man of her dreams, and the man of her dreams has a dog. They tried their very best to help us live together in harmony, but I just don’t like dogs. They traumatize me terribly, and make my life very difficult. I am now living alone much of the time, and I am very lonely. My fondest desire is to have a cat person all to myself that I can snuggle up to, meow at, and be the center of their world.

I am a very affectionate cat, but I like things on my own terms. I am not the kind of cat that likes to be picked up, but once I get to know you and feel comfortable with you, I am very loving and will come and snuggle up to you, head butt you, and follow you around the house.
I am afraid of children and do not like to be around other pets, especially dogs. I am a diva cat – I want to be center stage in your life.

My owner is very sad to have to make this very difficult decision, but she knows that the life I have right now is not making me happy, and she wants the very best for me. She is dearly hoping to find me the ultimate owner and friend, a die-hard cat lover like she is, to offer me my forever home.

I will bring all of my belongings with me, and have had all my vet care done up to date. Please offer me a home today. I can’t wait to purr and play my way into your heart.

If you would like to consider offering Sophie a loving, forever home, please fill out our Request To Meet A Pet form below:

Once received, we will contact you to discuss your request and set up a mutually convenient time to meet Sophie and their owner in their home. Feel free to call our pet rehoming coordinator, Debbie Moore, at (888) 720-3322 if you have questions about adopting this special cat.

There is a $25 adoption/rehoming fee. All supplies will be included.

She is sweet and affectionate. She doesn’t like to be held she like to nuzzle up next to you wherever you are… She gives head butts and rolls over to have her belly rubbed all the time. She like the laser mouse and to chase balls around the house. She loves to lay in the sun and her little bed with a pet heating pad. She also really loves shoes. To sniff and roll around on. 🙂 I love her and want her to be happy.

I was a single woman with my kitty for 7 years. I recently got married and my husband has a dog. We tried to integrate them and it was traumatic for my cat. We live in two locations ( long story) but every other week the kitty has to live on her own. Someone comes to feed her but she gets lonely and she is now scared of my husband because of the dog. I want a better life for her were she can feel calm and get more attention.

About Utah Find My Pet A Home

About Our Rescue Group...

In many locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters are rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Pets available for adoption can be viewed on our website at

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
