My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Peggy. My friends here at the rescue think that I am a St. Bernard/Dalmatian mix. Don't quote them on that, though, as it is only an educated guess. What do you think?

I am roughly 7 months old and I weigh about 58 pounds. I am one big puppy! Us large breed dogs usually don't fully mature until we're about 2 years of age, so, I've got a lot of growing to do still.

I am already spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I'm ready to go home with you!

I love all my human friends and I get along great with other dogs! My favorite thing to do is run around and play with all my canine companions. It isn't necessary that you have another dog at home, but it would be nice to have a friend play with. If I'm to be an only dog, I think frequent trips to the dog bark would suffice.

I'm a super sweet, friendly dog with a tail that never stops wagging and a smile that stretches for days. I'm such a good girl that I can't even imagine why my previous owners surrendered me to a local high-kill shelter. Weren't they concerned for my safety? I'm not sure if they even thought about me after they dropped me off.

I know that I am a lucky girl to have made it out of the shelter alive. I'm thankful everyday that one of the volunteers at the shelter took notice of me and arranged for me to come to CageFree. I'm having a ton of fun here, but I would love it if you were to adopt me and give me that forever home that I so deserve.

Before you contact CageFree, you should know what I am looking for in a family. As I mentioned before, I'm still a puppy, so I need an active family to keep me stimulated and happy. No couch potatoes for me! Since I'm such an outgoing girl, it would be great if my new family wanted me to join them on all of their adventures. I am also looking for a family that is willing to teach me some basic obedience like how to walk nicely on a leash. I'm not a bad dog, I have just never had any boundaries or rules before.

So, if you think that I might be the dog for you, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree and tell them you want to meet me. I can't wait to find my new forever home!
