Doxie Lovers behold!! This spectacular, stunning girl is Katniss: a jet black long-haired mini-Doxie who we were told is pure. Hers is one of the oldest stories in the book: family moves, dumps the dog. In
our book that means Chapter Closed and on to the happy ending! Katniss will make the most grateful companion. She's about 4 years old -- nicely past the puppy stage and young enough to be plenty playful! She was surrendered with her BFF Petey and our dream is for someone to open their hearts wider than they thought possible to let these two stay together. After all, they've been through so much and they love each other so much. Petey is her best playmate. She loves playing chase, wrestling and even sneaking up on him just as he's about to fall asleep . . . just to be a pest! Katniss loves her lap time (she's also a bit protective of her lap time which we're working on) and she loves belly rubs and bathtime pampering. She's friendly with people and she had lived with kids in her previous home, but she's so small we think she'd be best in a home with older kids. She likes peanut butter and banana, and is happy it's watermelon season because that's her favorite delicacy! Katniss is about 4 years old, she weighs only about 8 pounds and she's a very healthy girl.
