Doxie Lovers behold!! This sweet soul is Petey: a handsome mini-Doxie who we were told is pure. His is one of the oldest stories in the book: family moves, dumps the dog. In our book that means Chapter Closed and on to the happy ending! He was surrendered with his BFF Katniss and our dream is for someone to open their hearts wider than they thought possible to let these two stay together after all they've been through. Petey really loves everyone and all the other dogs at his foster home, but Katniss is his favorite. It would add heartbreak to heartache to separate them. They play chase every evening, throughout the house and out the doggy door that's set up at his foster home. They wrestle and play pranks on each other like little kids! Petey gets excited when his foster family gets home and jumps right into their laps to give love and kisses -- he's one of those "lover boy" types who just craves affection and attention from his people, and he's so darn cute, it's easy to give!! He loves rope chew toys, he destroys tennis balls and he can be a total brat when it's time to go to bed and he still wants to play . . . but he always gives in. He loves baths as long as his foster mom sit on the edge of the tub with her feet in the tub (not too spoiled!!) He loves peanut butter, and fresh broccoli or carrots. Not too keen on bananas and watermelon though; he leaves all of that for Katniss. We think Petey is about 2 years old, he weighs about 8 pounds and he is very healthy.
