Flame's Story...
An enclosed space is reserved within the cage for this cute, little calico. She does not mind the other cats, but her private amenities help her tune out the movement and noise. She may hiss initially, but that is how she copes with her shyness in new situations. It is a measly, reflex response that disappears as soon as people start petting her and she realizes there is nothing to fear. She loves to be petted; it is her version of a massage that calms her nerves, and she would love to receive this treatment more often. The door to her small space can only stay open for so long, and her sweet essence is not meant to be locked up. As her vibrant, green eyes indicate, she will bring many, wonderful years of harmony to some lucky household.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flame, a Wellesley Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wellesley, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wellesley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wellesley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wellesley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wellesley paves the way for another one to be saved.
