Zack's Story...
Zack is a precious young red heeler x who is now available for adoption. He has had a rough past that he showed amazing determination to overcome. He is attentive and eager to please. Zack is very smart and has learned so much in the past 2 weeks that he has spent in a special foster home. He spent time with his foster daddy who is a dog behaviorist. He has learned many basic commands and also commands for controlling his energy level.
Zack is calm when with his people and is as sweet and affectionate as you can imagine! He plays nicely with other dogs once he's properly introduced. He's working on meeting new dogs a bit more calmly. Zack can be confused by overly excited dogs and thus, becomes overly excited himself. We think it would be best for Zack to go into a home with another dog who is more mellow in nature. Zack likes cats but just a little too much. So he cannot go into a home with any cat friends.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zack, a Corrales Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Corrales, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Corrales.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Corrales already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Corrales breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Corrales paves the way for another one to be saved.
