Hi there! My name is Tiger. You can probably tell that I am most likely a Beagle/Italian Greyhound mix just by looking at my adorable photos. I've got long lanky legs like an Italian Greyhound and I have the floppy ears and soulful eyes of a Beagle.
I am approximately 4 months old and I weigh about 10 pounds right now.
Sweet, loving, and playful is how I would describe myself. I get along well with everybody I meet - people and dogs alike! I haven't met a stranger yet. I can be a little on the nervous side when put in new environments, but I just came from a local high-kill shelter so who can blame me?
When CageFree found me at the pound, I had a rare condition called "Puppy Strangles". Some of the symptoms include wounds around the face and eyes, lesions on the body, and limb lameness. When I got to CageFree I wasn't putting weight on one of my rear legs, my face was bleeding and I had a lesion on my abdomen. I was a mess!
My friends here at the rescue sent me straight from the shelter to their private vet to have me checked out. The diagnoses of Puppy Strangles was confirmed and I was put on medication. After just 2 days of medication I was already feeling better. I was putting all my weight on my rear leg, my nose stopped bleeding, and the wound on my abdomen had begun to scab over. Now my treatment is done, I'm totally back to normal again and my Puppy Strangles is completely resolved! No more medicine for me!
I have already been neutered, I am up-to-date on my vaccines and I have been microchipped.
I am the happiest little boy you'll ever meet. My tail never stops wagging! Just a glance in my direction will make my entire day.
