My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet BlueMoon's newest girl...Miss Penny!

Penny is an 11 month old petite Black Lab mix weighing only 45 pounds. Penny is happiest when she is playing with her foster brother Zack and foster sisters Sarah and Daisy so she will definitely need a home with a companion for play. If you are interested in adopting sweet, petite Miss Penny, please submit an application from our web site.

UPDATE:
Penny is a great dog. And she's so beautiful, her pictures don’t do her justice. Her coat looks black in the pictures, but in the light, she’s really dark brown. She has the most sincere, expressive eyes. When she walks on the leash (pretty well), she stops a lot and looks back at you, as if asking for permission to continue. Penny loves to play with all of the dogs here, although her rambunctious nature doesn’t go over well with my senior, Daisy. Penny would play fetch for hours, and that's partly because she just yearns to please. She's such a bright and loving girl. She is housebroken and crate trained. Her shots are up to date. She has a healthy appetite yet doesn’t display any food aggression. She is the only dog I've ever seen sit and watch someone peel apples. She LOVES them. Apples are the only treat I've seen her eat immediately -- sometimes she'll play first with other ones. Penny knows basic, simple commands such as "Sit" and "Down". Since she is still a puppy, she would benefit from basic obedience classes.

She does love to play, so I would recommend a home with older kids so she doesn’t knock down younger ones with her energy. Since Penny gets along so well with my dogs, I'd suggest she'd be fine in a home with another dog.
