Emmy's Story...
I’m Emmy and I’m ready for the next chapter of my life. On March 30, 2007 I was born on the streets of Sellersville. My original rescuer found me and contacted Stray Cat Blues to help find me a home. In June 2007, I was adopted by a young couple. I lived with them and adjusted fine to one baby and one move. Then they had another baby and I was even good through that. But then for some reason, my personality changed. I’d prefer not to talk about that difficult time. Anyway, my family decided that I was too much trouble and returned me to Stray Cat Blues.

In May 2016, I went back to my former foster home. My foster mom was glad to see me. She found that I am the same sweet girl I was in 2007. I was a little disoriented at first but it didn’t take me long to settle in at my foster home. I’m a friendly girl with perfect litter box habits. I am allergic to fish-flavored food, however, so I need to stay away from that.

All I want is a forever home! I like quiet older children so I’m best in a home without very young active children. I’ve been an only kitty for some years now so I’ll need a slow introduction to other cats.

Emmy is spayed, litterbox trained, is up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. She was born in 2007.

Emmy's adoption fee has been paid by a generous sponsor in order to encourage her adoption!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emmy, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
