Bernie's Story...
Bernie is a 2-4 year old boxer pit bull mix. He is a sweet boy who is crate trained and housebroken. He does not do well with harsh correction but listens very well. He likes to play and lounge around all day. He can sometimes be picky on who he likes but loves everyone that he likes and does well with most dogs but a lot of the time prefers to be alone. He seems to ignore most cats. If you would like to make Bernie apart of your family please contact us to fill out and application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bernie, a Otterbein Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Otterbein, or seeking a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Otterbein.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Otterbein already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Otterbein breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Otterbein paves the way for another one to be saved.
